Annual Youth Talent Show Tonight

Young people from many towns and locations will come together tonight to present their annual Youth Talent Show at 7:30 pm in Stuart Auditorium.  These young folks have prepared a great show and look forward to a great crowd to help them celebrate a fun evening.  Your host for the evening will be Stephen Mitchell.

Please Note the Following Seminar Changes

  • Creative Change: Conflict Free is the correct title of the seminar to be offered by Rev. Mary Scifres at 2:30 p.m. today in Terrace 210.  The seminar description is correct in the Event Notebook.
  • “Oldies but Goodies” Handbell Reading Session with David Harris will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Lambuth 100. The listing is correct in the daily seminar schedule.
  • MorningStar Organ Reading Session is today at 3:30 p.m. The entry is correct in the daily schedule.
  • Worship on the Big Screen today at 3:30 p.m.: All are welcome! Even if you did not submit a photo in advance, we invite you to attend.
  • The String Art Craft Seminar scheduled for 4:30 p.m. today has been canceled.
  • Beginning Conducting scheduled for 4:30 pm on Wednesday in Lambuth 103 has been canceled due to illness.

Free Choral Music Available

Though very popular on Monday, there is still a bit of free choral music available in the lobby outside the Terrace Dining Room. Most of the music is SATB and ranges from a few to approximately 30 copies. Feel free to stop by to look through the music and see if there is a perfect fit for your music library.

Limited Number of Children’s T-Shirts Now Available

We have a very limited number of children’s t-shirts available in the MWAW office (H-202) for $12 each.

Bring your youth choir to Richmond, VA, on November 17-18 for a wonderful ecumenical youth choir festival. Open to singers in grades 6-12. Large choirs, small choirs, and individual singers welcome! Check us out at www.youthchoirjam.org.

Organ/Assistant Director Position
Orange Park United Methodist seeks a part-time Organist/Assistant Director to cover organ/ adult choir accompanying plus directing SOME of the following areas/choirs: handbell, children, weekly ensembles, youth, orchestra. The salary range (15-30K) will be dependent on how many of the above areas you cover. Sanctuary has Allen electronic Renaissance R330, three manual organ & Kawai baby grand. Full service music ministry with 45 in adult choirs, 45 member youth choir singing every Sunday/tours every summer, two children’s choirs approximately 25, two 5 octave adult handbell choirs, 15 member church orchestra, men’s & women’s adult ensembles. Organ Position Opening
Martha Bowman UMC (500 Bass Road, Macon, GA, 31210) seeks part-time organist to provide service music for 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. traditional worship services. Duties include accompanying a 40-voice choir on Wednesday and seasonal services of the church year. Candidate should possess excellent sight-reading and people skills.
